White label AI SEO is when a partner does the work of getting your clients found in AI answers, such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews, and you sell it under your own agency brand. The best package to resell combines local SEO basics, answer-first content, mentions on trusted sites and monthly tracking of how often AI tools name each client, all delivered in reports with your logo, not ours.
This guide covers what to include, how to price it to clients, how to report results and how to pick a partner. We run white label SEO services for agencies with local clients, so this is the setup we use every day.
The short answer
- What it is: SEO and AI search work done by a partner and sold by your agency as your own service.
- What to resell: Google Business Profile work, local and on-page SEO, answer-first content, citation and mention building, and AI answer tracking.
- How to price it: Start from a fixed monthly partner cost per client, then add your own markup for account management and strategy.
- How to report it: A monthly, white-labelled report that shows which AI tools name the client, for which questions, and which sources they cite.
What white label AI SEO means
White label means the client only sees your agency. Your partner does the research, fixes and tracking behind the scenes. Reports carry your name. The partner does not contact your clients unless you ask them to.
The AI part is newer. Clients now ask a simple question: when someone asks ChatGPT for a dentist or a roofer near them, does my business come up? Classic SEO reports don't answer that. Rankings and traffic still matter, but they don't show whether an AI tool names the business or a competitor.
AI search work sits on top of normal SEO. AI tools pull from search results, business listings, reviews, websites and articles. A client with a weak Google Business Profile, inconsistent listings and thin service pages gives those tools little to work with. So a good white label AI SEO offer is not a separate product. It's SEO with two extra layers: generative engine optimization, which aims to get the client named in AI-written answers, and answer engine optimization, which shapes pages so search engines and assistants can lift a direct answer from them.
What to include in a white label AI SEO package
| Deliverable | What it is | How often |
|---|---|---|
| AI visibility baseline | A record of which AI tools name the client today, for the questions their customers ask | Once, at the start |
| Google Business Profile work | Categories, services, photos, posts and a review strategy | Monthly |
| Citation and listing cleanup | The same name, address, phone and details across directories and data sources | At the start, then as needed |
| On-page and technical SEO | Titles, content, speed, indexing and schema fixes on the client's site | Ongoing |
| Answer-first content | Service pages and FAQs rewritten so the answer comes in the first sentence or two | Monthly |
| Mention building | Getting the client named on local news, lists, associations and partner sites | Ongoing |
| AI answer tracking | Checking how often ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews name the client | Monthly |
| White-labelled report | A plain-language summary under your agency's brand | Monthly |
Two things are worth leaving out. First, don't sell guaranteed AI mentions. No one controls what an AI tool says, and promising it sets you up for a hard conversation later. Second, don't sell AI work without the SEO basics underneath. If the profile and listings are a mess, AI search work has nothing to build on.
If your clients are local businesses, such as home services, dental and chiropractic practices, law firms or auto repair shops, put most of the effort into the Business Profile, reviews and local mentions. That is where both Google and AI tools get most of what they know about a local business.
How to price it to clients
Start with your cost. With us, white label work follows the same fixed monthly plans we sell directly: $257, $425 or $675 a month per client, month to month, with no setup fee. You can see what each plan covers on our pricing page. If you manage several clients, contact us about agency volume pricing.
Then set your own price. Your markup is your call. It should cover the time you spend on calls, strategy, onboarding and reporting, plus the value of the relationship you've built. Some agencies bundle AI SEO into an existing retainer. Others sell it as a separate line item so the client sees it as a new service.
A few pricing habits make this easier:
- Match the tier to the client. A single location that mainly needs a stronger Business Profile doesn't need the same plan as a multi-location business that needs new pages and technical work.
- Keep it monthly. If your partner works month to month, you can offer the same terms. That lowers the barrier for clients who have been burned by long contracts.
- Price the reporting in. The monthly AI visibility report is often what clients value most. Make sure your price reflects the time you spend walking them through it.
How to report AI search results
AI search reporting is where many agencies struggle. There is no single dashboard like Search Console for AI answers. So the report has to be built around questions, not keywords.
Here's what a useful monthly report covers:
- The question set. A fixed list of questions real customers ask, such as "best emergency plumber near me" or "who does Invisalign in my area". Keep the list stable so month-to-month changes mean something.
- Engines checked. ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews at a minimum. Note which ones named the client for each question.
- Share of answers. Out of the questions tracked, how many answers named the client, and how that compares with last month.
- Cited sources. Which websites the AI tools used for their answers. This shows where to build mentions next, and whether the client's own site is being used.
- Competitors named. Which other businesses show up for the same questions, so the client understands who they're up against.
- Work done this month. The profile updates, page changes, listings and mentions that went live.
- Next steps. What the partner will work on next month and why.
Put all of this in a white-labelled report with your logo and colors. Keep the language plain. A business owner should be able to read it in a few minutes and know whether things are moving. Pair it with the usual SEO numbers, such as calls, Map Pack positions and site traffic, so the client sees the full picture.
How to choose a white label AI SEO partner
The partner's work goes out under your name, so choose carefully. Ask these questions before you sign anyone up:
- Do they track AI answers across several engines, or only Google rankings?
- Are their reports fully unbranded and ready to send under your name?
- Do they work on the SEO basics too, such as the Business Profile, listings and on-page fixes?
- Is pricing fixed per client and agreed before work starts?
- Can you work month to month, or do they lock you into a long contract?
- Do they focus on the kinds of clients you serve, such as local service businesses?
- Do they avoid guarantees about what AI tools will say?
FAQ
What is white label AI SEO?
It's SEO and AI search work done by a partner and sold by your agency under your own brand. The partner handles the work and tracking, and your clients only deal with you.
Is white label AI SEO different from white label SEO?
It builds on it. White label AI SEO includes the usual SEO work plus answer-first content, mention building and tracking how often AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity name each client.
How much does white label AI SEO cost?
Our white label work follows our standard plans, from $257 a month per client, month to month, with no setup fee. You set your own price to clients. See our pricing or contact us about agency volume pricing.
Can you guarantee my clients will be named by ChatGPT?
No. No one can guarantee what an AI tool says. We measure how often each client is named, strengthen the signals AI tools rely on and show the change every month.
Will my clients know a partner is involved?
Not unless you tell them. Reports are unbranded and we do not contact your clients directly. Learn more about our white label SEO services.
